For decades Pro Wrestling has had many "flamboyant" performers. From Gorgeous George to Adrian Street to Johnny B. Badd and Chuck and Billy there's been a long history of it. Hell for awhile in the 90's Goldust was kissing guys in the ring. WWE almost had Chuck Palumbo and Billy Gunn get married a few years ago. "Gay" and "queer" in wrestling has been there for quite some time.
While he's not the first gay wrestler, he is the first one to out himself while an active performer for a major company. Should this be equated with a major pro sports athlete coming out? In 2013 does this really matter? As a long-time fan I shrug. What do you think?
